A few short hours after we landed in Stockholm, we boarded a train for Oslo. We arrived there late in the evening, but it was still light, of course; it never really got dark at all for the whole trip, with the sun going down about 10:30 to 11:00, and coming back up around 2:30 to 3:00. Here is Susan, checking out the train routes around Oslo.
Our ticket around Oslo. This got us on all public transportation  and into all the museums for one price.

We only had about 3 days in Oslo, so aside from visiting as many museums as we could, we spent most of our time down along the waterfront. One place in particular was where shrimp boats pulled in to the dock with freshly caught, freshly boiled shrimp for sale (note the pan of pink shrimp!) Needless to say we ate a lot of shrimp, along with other seafood and reindeer, both fresh and smoked.

Jerry thinks Susan is a great tour guide - the hotel she booked online was right around the corner from the only microbrewery in Oslo, simply called "Oslo Mikro Bryggeri" - no translation necessary.

The only thing more ubiquitous than seafood and boats were the flower shops - they were everywhere! Everywhere we went, there were flowers, in formal gardens and growing untended along fences. People on the busses were carrying cut flowers and potted flowers, and most restaurants had fresh cut flowers on the tables.

Public art was everywhere, as were the pigeons. Some of it is probably even famous, but my knowledge doesn't extend there, I just enjoy it.

Susan found a "cyber cafe" in every town, making it easy to keep in touch with friends and family back home and, yes, even to check up on the puppies.
