Welcome to Stat 2005
section 95. I hope you enjoy the course. Statistics is a valuable and useful
field for nearly every field of study. It is also very practical and something
we use and deal with EVERYDAY! If you are enrolled in this course, please do
the following items, before you begin
Get a book, It is
Elementary Statistics by Mario F. Triola. You can order it from nearly any
bookstore or contact the Casper College bookstore (307-268-2202 or e-mail WY@fcs.follett.com)
Get a calculator
(I suggest a TI-83) or the free program STATDISK. Take this link to learn more about these two forms of technology. If you do
not wish to buy a TI-83, you can loan one from the Math Lab - call them at
307-268-2865 (sorry no e-mail or web page yet!)
Sign on to the
discussion list, Take this link and follow the directions. We will use this webboard in the
course extensively
