INTRODUCTION TO STATISTICS INSTRUCTIONS AND LESSON |
|
In Chapter 2 you
discovered how to take existing data and describe the data using both
pictures (histograms, pie charts etc..) and numeric measures (mean, median,
Q1). In chapter 3 you learned the basics of probability theory. Chapter 4
takes these two ideas and combines them to help us to determine what we might
expect to happen. You
will be studying random variables, probability distributions, the binomial
distribution and the Poisson distribution. Please read this chapter. |
Below you will find some lesson material
for chapter 4. Take the link for some help with what you are reading. Don't
forget to complete the homework, do the lab and participate in the discussion
